John Lepping Memorial Scholarship 2024

 John Lepping Memorial Scholarship is available to Ohio residents who are graduating high school seniors or undergraduate college students. The scholarship award amount is $5,000 and will cover tuition, fees, and other expenses related to attending an accredited university in Ohio. The John Lepping Memorial Scholarship has been designed by the Lep Foundation for Youth Education (a public charity that provides financial assistance to students residing in NY, N J or PA seeking to further their education).

Purpose

The Scholarship will be awarded to qualified studentsseeking to furthertheir education by attending college. The amount of the
scholarship is up to $5,000.
John Lepping was extremely proud of disabled students who mustered the courage and determination to finish their college
education despite their setbacks. This scholarship will help to deter the costs of college for disabled individuals who may not have
the resources due to overwhelming medical costs.

Eligibility

Including, but not limited to physical conditions (spinal cord injury, loss of limb, birth defects, etc.) and psychological conditions
(autism, post- traumatic stress etc.). Scholarship recipientsmust be able to provide proof of disability with letter of confirmation by
a physician. Proof required after award notification. Do not submit with application.  Students in all 50 states of America are eligible.

Criteria

The recipient must demonstrate academic achievementthrough evidence of working to one’s potential, demonstrate eligibility in
one of 3 categories outlined above and be accepted for admission at an institution of higher education, e.g. college, community
college, university or vocational school. All grades must be substantiated by official documentation.

Scholarship Overview

The scholarship is available to Ohio residents who are graduating high school seniors or undergraduate college students. You must be in good academic standing and pursuing a degree in engineering.

The scholarship is worth $4,000 per year for four years of study at any public or private university within the state of Ohio, including graduate programs such as MSCS (Master of Science in Computer Science) at Wright State University and MSME (Master of Science in Mechatronics Engineering) at Case Western Reserve University.*

Scholarship Amount

The amount of the scholarship is $5,000. This scholarship is renewable and available to Ohio residents who are graduating high school seniors or undergraduate college students. The applicant must be attending a US college, university, or technical school at the time of application and must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on his/her last 60-90 credits earned at this institution (generally equivalent to one full year).

The applicant must show financial need to be considered for this award; however, other factors may also be considered such as academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and leadership qualities.

The John Lepping Memorial Scholarship is available to Ohio residents who are graduating high school seniors or undergraduate college students. The minimum requirement for consideration is an Ohio High School Diploma, which must be earned in the spring of the graduating year. Applicants must also have maintained a grade point average of at least 2.0 for the previous 12 months and be enrolled full-time (12 credits).
